I am looking for information about the VINEYARD family in Reynolds County. What I know: My ggrandparents were Martin Alexander Vineyard, b.10 Feb 1862, d. 20 Jun 1934 from Ruble, Reynolds Co. Mo, wife: Mary Elizabeth Chitwood, b. 4 Jul 1861, d. 16 Jun 1942 also from Ruble. Both are buried with visible headstone (not listed in HELVEY.TXT) in the Helvey Cemetery on HH. M.A. Vineyard was the son of James M? Vineyard, b. 18 Oct 1840, d. 28 Mar 1888, who was married to Elizabeth Addline Hampton, b. 1 Mar 1842, d. 15 Mar 1919, born in either Washington or Reynolds Co., buried with large monument in Helvey Cemetery. Oth children include James M, Barbara Jane, William T, Permella Ann, Charles H, and Bertie E.. James M? Vineyard was reported to me as the son of a William Vineyard and Jane Seaborn, first wife. There is land record in Centerville listing a sale of land by William and Nancy (nee Latham, second wife) Vineyard of Greene county to John B Stuart 11 Jan 1871. Actually, starting in 1872, there are many sales and buy backs of land involving the VINEYARD folks. However, I have not found conclusive evidence/information that James is the son of William Vineyard and first wife Jane Seaborn. Appreciate any assistance. Thanks in advance. Jeffrey Vineyard
